Many of the buildings the first Crystal Palace FC frequented are still standing in the local area today. You can explore these on a ‘CPFC 1861 walking trail’ by following the route. 1. The Thicket Hotel
The old Crystal Palace club held an end-of-season supper here.

2. The Clarendon Hotel
Players and officials held suppers here at the end of the season.

3. Charles Chenery’s House
The home of Palace’s star forward and most capped England international.

4. Crystal Palace Park
The Palace team played here on the old cricket field during two spells.

5. The Crooked Billet
The club switched games to a field behind the pub for two seasons.
